Rent A Bike Cristóbal rents bicycles / scooters / motorcycles reserved or hired directly. The rental period is from 09:00 AM to 19:00 PM.
1- From the first day of rental to the last day of rental, the customer can pick up and return the vehicles from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. from Monday to Sunday. The collection and/or return of the vehicles outside the previously defined hours may be subject to an extra payment by the client.
2- In the event that the bicycle/scooter/motorcycle is returned before the current end of the rental contract for any reason, you will not be entitled to a refund of any rental amount.
3- When the bicycle/scooter/motorcycle is returned after the time of the rental contract, an additional fraction will be charged or in case the tenant wants to extend or keep the rental for longer than the contracted time, he must inform before the end of the contract so that Rent A Bike Cristóbal can inform you of the possibility of extending it or not and proceed with the prior payment of the additional difference for the extra days.
4- The bicycles/scooters/motorcycles and the contracted equipment are the property of Rent A Bike Cristóbal and must be collected and returned at our offices in Cala Ratjada, although it will be possible to contract a transport service for other destinations (Capdepera, Cala Mesquida, Canyamel, Font de Sa Cala, Artà, Cala Millor and Sa Coma) with a charge defined on the web. In case of contracting by the client of the transport service, the delivery time will be the day before the start of the rental between 7:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. or the same day of the start of the rental period between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the hotel or farm/house where the client is staying (the client must choose the best option for their comfort), in the same way, the pick-up time will be the last day of the rental period between 7:00 p.m. 30:00 and 21:00 at the hotel or farm/house where the client is staying. The client must be present for the collection and/or delivery of the vehicle.
5- When proceeding with the reservation on our website, the lessee will pay 30% or 100% of the entire rental period and the remaining 70% when picking up the bicycle/scooter/motorcycle at our premises. 6-When the tenant who is the object of the rental contract picks up the bicycle/scooter/motorcycle, he must present an official identification with a photograph (National Identity Document, Passport or Driving License) otherwise the contract cannot be formalized. The person signing the rental agreement must be over 18 years of age and is responsible for all equipment rented under the agreement.
7- BICYCLES: If a cancellation of the reservation is made 30 days before the first day of rental, a full refund of the advance payment of 30% or 100% (depending on payment) will be made for the reservation. If the cancellation is made between 29 days and 10 before the first day of rental, a refund of 50% of the amount paid for the reservation will be made. If the cancellation is made within 10 days prior to the first day of rental, no refund will be made.
8- SCOOTERS/MOTORCYCLES: If a cancellation of the reservation is made 30 days before the first day of rental, a full refund of the advance payment of 30% or 100% (depending on payment) will be made for the reservation. If the cancellation is made within 29 days prior to the first day of rental, the refund will depend on the reservation option selected by the client, in case of having selected the option of not having the right to cancel until 72 hours prior to the first day of rental. , the client will not be entitled to any reimbursement by Rent A Bike Cristóbal.
9- To rent a motorcycle with Rent A Bike Cristóbal you must have a valid driver's license for the vehicle you want to rent and according to the regulations of the country. The minimum requirements in Spain for each model available on our website can be found in the 'Driver's license' section within the description of each model of scooters (50cc, 125cc, 200cc, 350cc and 400cc) and motorcycles (125cc, 250cc, 300cc, 500cc and 650cc).
10- If the driver's license is not from a country of the European Economic Union or they do not have an agreement with Spain, it is necessary to present the international license. Likewise, valid permits are governed by the law of the country where you drive, not the country of origin.
11- In case of reservation of a vehicle by a client who by mistake/ignorance has reserved a scooter/motorcycle that cannot drive due to not having a driver's license, the client has no right to claim or refund the money paid. for the vehicle reservation made through the web.
12- Both bicycles and mopeds can only transport one person. If they are parked without the corresponding lock, the lessor has the right to pick up the vehicle, without the lessee having the right to any claim.
13- The lessee is obliged to make good use of the bicycle / scooter / motorcycle and its equipment. The bike/scooter/motorcycle must be returned in perfect working order or charges may be made. The lessee must inform Rent A Bike Cristóbal of any breakage or theft of vehicles or material and the lessee himself will be responsible for the cost of repair or in case of theft he will pay the market value, by credit card. The bicycle/scooter/motorcycle will be delivered in perfect condition by Rent A Bike Cristóbal to the lessee and in the event of any damage, it will be stated in the rental contract and the client will be informed during the process. The lessee will not be responsible for damage or deterioration due to normal wear and tear of the use of the bicycle/scooter/motorcycle. All bicycles are provided with a lock and the renter will be responsible for securing the bicycle overnight by keeping it in a locked garage or room for security. It is convenient to always have the bicycles in sight to avoid theft.
14- The renter is responsible for respecting all existing traffic laws in Spain.
15- It is recommended that you always carry documentation with you to identify you and a mobile phone. It is also advisable to have accident insurance during the trip.
16- The renter is responsible for all damages that occur either to himself or to any other person within the rental period, Rent A Bike Cristóbal does not accept responsibility for any claim by third parties in relation to accidents, injuries, blows or damage caused by the tenant or to their property, or loss of objects for any reason.
17- The lessee agrees to make a deposit of €50 per bicycle, and for scooters and motorcycles the client agrees to leave a deposit that varies from €100 to €500 (in cash or with a debit/credit card) , depending on the model of scooter and motorcycle.
18- The vehicles, except the bicycles, if not contracted otherwise, are insured by the lessor with the corresponding current compulsory civil liability and unlimited voluntary civil liability insurance. The costs of this insurance are included in the rental price. In the event of theft, theft or damage caused by third parties, the lessee is responsible, unless they contract comprehensive insurance apart from this contract, only valid for motorized vehicles. If the comprehensive insurance is not contracted, the lessee must pay the lessor the amount stipulated for each model of bicycle/scooter/motorcycle.
19- For any questions that may arise from the fulfillment and execution of this contract, the contracting parties expressly submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts and Tribunals of Palma de Mallorca, with resignation, if they had it to their own jurisdiction.
